4-24-07 Well almost 6 months out and I'm doing great. Down to 230 from 314. Feeling great and I must say looking good too. :) It been along time since I have been able to say that about myself. My husband is loving the new me. Still have not gone out to buy a bunch of new clothes yet and he hate that I'm still wearing my 26/28 stuff but I don't really want to spend alot of money when I know I'm going to keep losing.
1-18-07 Well the year is off to a great start. I'm 2 months and a week out and I'm done 50 pds total. Not sure what size I'm in now refuse to buy new thing so I'm just wearing the old stuff.
12-26-06 Ok, well did know it had been so long since I put in an update so here we go. Almost 2 months out and feeling great. Started out on 10-31-06 pre-op at 307 now at 279 and doing good, I really can't tell that I look any different but my husband tells me he can with a smile on his face. My angel Cynde gets on to me all the time because I sometime feel that I'm not doing as well as others have. She keeps telling me that everyone is different. All I know is I feel so much better. I can walk and even go up the stairs with out being so tired that I would have to just take a time out to rest. Started dumping about a month out and on things I had tried before that didn't bother me but now I have to be very careful. Other than that life is great!
11-8-06 Well, I'm getting ready to leave for the hospital and my new life.
11-1-06 Well, had my pre-op yesterday and all went well. Just knew I was going to be told I would have to wait a month before it could be done because they wanted me to try and lose more weight. But that did not happen. Just like my best friend Cynde G. told me. So anyway I am waiting to get the call to tell me what time I have to be there on 11/8/06 for the start of my new life. I'm so happy.
10-22-06 The ball is rolling. Have my pre-op visit on 10-31-06 and surgery on 11-8-06 if all goes well at the pre-op.
10-19-06 Has been a while since my last post. Have completed all that was requested from my surgeon and now just waiting for them to call and set up my meeting to come in and talk about the surgery. Oh by the way was approved in 2 days from BCBS.
8-05 Married for 6 years to a great man who thinks I look fine the way I am but we all know that does not help you feel better about yourself. I also have a 4 year old son and with the health problems I have it is very hard to do most actives with him and my husband. My PC has told me that I need to think about having this done because my health is going down hill. So, keeping my fingers crossed I hope all goes well in seeing if BCBS will help me. I would like to give a little history about myself. I have been larger than most of my friend all my life and it never was a problem until about 3 years ago. I was a plus-size model for about 7 years and teaching modeling here in ATL. Had been on TV a few time talking about plus-size modeling and loved it. As we all know when you get bigger than a 20-22 it all over from there it just seems to never stop.
