Hi,
My name is lana I am new to Nevada. I have been here one year........... I moved here sight unseen and its been an adventure. I am 41 years old and 300lbs. I am 6'4" so that does not sound like I am that much over weight even though the BMI says I am at 36.7%. But I have many problems related to weight. I was working on getting the surgery done back in Texas and was only two week away from my surgrey when my invalid mother who I took care of died. then two months later my grandmother died. In the 6 months following that because they did not have insurance I lost the house and had to file bankruptacy and decided that I needed to change so I took a job over the net and two weeks later I arrived in Elko Nevada............ Then within 2 months my father died. So needless to say its been a long long 18 months........... Anyway I am back on an even road and work for the state at a juvenile youth center and found out they cover surgery..........So here I am trying to get my ducks in a row again and do something for myself. I feel the need to work on my life and finally feel healthy and try and avoid the problems that hit my family. I will keep you updated in my journey and would love anyone out there who would feel like it to give me advice and or encouragement........ I am checking out Dr. Ganser in Reno................ Any advice would be helpful.
