Hello, My name is Terry and tomorrow is my surgery date.  It's taken me at least a year to make this decision. Preparing for the surgery has made my commitment, all the stronger, I have lost 35 pounds on my own, and found out that I LIKE to exercises.  WOW! Not many people will admit to liking to exercise, but I have two things that I like to do and  I do them most every day.  My husband bought me a bike for Mother's Day...(some present huh??)   but once I started, I can't stop....I've been riding everyday, putting 5 miles a day for a total of 165 miles as of this posting. I have severe arthritis in my legs and joints, but I have found that I don't hurt as much if I keep exercising at least 5 days a week.  I also love to be in the water, here I can relieve the pressure the land compounds to my joints and the water is great for resistance.  I have toned all over, just being in the water.  So tomorrow is my "Big Day". My new birthday, if you will.  As I see it, it's a new beginning to reclaiming my health. It is my hope to say goodbye to my Cpap machine, my blood pressure meds, my shortness of breath and regain the ability to walk without being in pain. I have the determination to make this be the most successful thing I've ever done for myself. (there is only one exception and that would be marrying the most incredible man I married) so, Happy Birthday Terry!! May your new adventure begin.
