My name is Katie. I am a 23 year old Washington state native. My story begins about 23 years ago. I have a fraturnal twin sister. We are very different, in every sense of the word. She is 5'10" thin and petite. I on the other hand, am not. I have grown up hearing the phrase, " you can't be twins, you are SO much bigger than your sister!" How delightful that parents, educators and our peers have said this to me since I can remember. I am SO ready for this change. Growing up heavy, and being compared to someone all the time who was not has really made me have a negative self image. I have a bad family history of obesity related conditions, and don't want that for myself. I am young, and healthy and want to stay that way. As far as my motivation goes, I am good to go there. I am engaged to the most amazing, sweet, caring man. We are getting married in Feb of next year and I want to be a gorgeous bride! I am ready to work hard, make smart decisions and give this new lifestyle everything I have!!!
