Hit my first goal!!

Well, I finally did it. I hit my first weight loss goal, I finally, after I have no idea how many years, weigh under 200 pounds. I told my husband that once I hit that goal, I was going to get my nose pierced and that is exactly what I have done. I have a new walking partner and we walk betwen 4 and 6 miles a day. I must admit, it is sometimes hard to find the energy to go for the walk at night after a long day at work but it is so worth it. I am sleeping better at night and waking up with more energy in the morning. My journey has not been an easy one but it has been worth every step of the way. For those of you who are contemplating surgery, take it from me, it is well worth it. I don't ever remember feeling this good and I finally have the energy to keep up with my teenage children. Surgery is the best gift I have ever given myself.

Wow, I hit another milestone today. I do not know why it has been so emotional but I got extremely emotional when I decided to get rid of some of my clothes. I know they do not fit and that I have absolutely no desire to ever be able to wear them again but still had a hard time "letting go". I want to thank my friends Ann and Sarah for all of their support and their willingness to answer all of my silly questions. I am so glad I found this site and cannot wait to update my pictures.

Hola! I just wanted to get on and say that i am very proud of my mommie! She has worked very hard after her surgery to get where she is today! I wish i had the motivation that she has to get up in the morining and go walk! I used to get up and go with her but the long days of being in school have worn me down! i hope that once i get used to school ill be able to start walking with her again! I enjoy the time i have with my mom to talk about anything like what she went through at my age and what she did to get through her high school years! But like i said before... I am very proud of her and I hope she knows that i will support her in any thing she dose in the future!!!

This is my first blog! I am new to this website and what I have seen so far has been amazing. I am sure with time I will learn my way around the site and will not have so much difficulty in finding what I am looking for. I am 2 months post op and so far my major issue is not consuming the amount of fluids daily that I am suppose to. Thanks to all of you that have sent welcome messages, your kind words are very uplifting. I am looking forward to meeting and making new friends.
