Hey - I can't believe it next week this time I will also be on the other side. I can't wait! I go in for all my pre-op testing this afternoon. I want to say a special thank you to my daughter Kymber, at 11 years she has more wisdom and compassion than most adults. I can't wait to see my posters. Thank you everyone for what you contribute to this site, it is a encouragement to all of us.

Hi it's me Kymber Patrick Kathys daughter and my mom is going to have her surgery in 9 days. I am very excited and so is my mom. She is also very nrvous about having the surgery. After the surgery you always think to your self "Why did I do this?" So my sister, me, and my dad is going to put together a few posters that my mom can hang in her room that have things on it that remind her why she went through with it. (When I say went trough with IT I mean the sugery.) We will get the pictures from a magazine. The type of pictures that we will put on it will be things that she would maybe look like if she didn't get the surgery or things that she will look like because she got the surgery. We could also put pictures of her when she was skinny a while ago or pictures of things that she will be able to do after she recovers from the surgery. I think that if you are going through the surgery that this would be a perfeact thing for you to do or for your family to do for you.
