"Dr. Stevens met with my wife and I for our surgical consultation on May 29. He is poised and confident. Moreover, he expresses a genuine interest in each of us and our questions and concerns about the surgery. The surgical consult is very thorough. We first met Patty (it was nice to put a face with the voice), then Heather the dietician, then Dr. Stephens, and finally his nurse, Carla. Each person on staff makes you feel like a person an not just a patient. I watched them interact with several pre-op patients as well as a post-op patient. They treat the pre-op patients courteously and the post-op patient like a long lost friend. I appreciated everyone's candor concerning the necessity of viewing this surgery as a TOOL and their insistence that each patient demonstrate a willingness to commit to a LIFETIME of eating and lifestyle changes. I was most impressed with all of the information they provide to get us to recovery (post op care). I'll update more after pre ops and surgery."
