Hi everyone, I'm 26 years old and have been suffering from daily headaches. I have been diagnose with what is called Pseudotumor Cerebri. And according to my doctor's that with weight loss there is a 96% chance of resolving this. Living with the headaches is a very painful experience. Currently there haven't been any meds that can help. When I have a bad day I am taking pain meds just so I can go to bed and sleep it off. According to my insurance I am just shy of having the 40 BMI to be approved. So hopefully with the headaches I will be able to get approved.
My sister had the surgery last February and watching how her life style has changed has given me hope. I am going for a appointment on January 13 with Dr Pupkova whom did my sisters surgery. So hopefully after Tuesday that will start my new life. Fingers crossed.
I have been overweight my whole life and am looking for a new life. I understand that this is not a "quick fix" or the "easy way out" as some say and I'm ready to take it on head first. Getting this surgery would not only help my head, but, my life. So heres hoping.
