hi thanks for the kind words i appreciate it and tina dont worry i didnt lose all my weight in the first 6months i was at 240 in may of 2001 and i ended at 154 in june of this yr but let me say this eat as much protein as u can and walk walk walk i did as much exercise as i could rny is a wonderful tool but it is only a tool i am now in a position where im able to eat more things and im craving sweets so i have been eating only proteins again i dont let myself gain over 4lbs since ive gotten to my goal weight so if i feel ive gotten a couple lbs under my belt i pull out the protein and eat only that for a couple of days i am hoping to scan some old pics and my new ones here in the next few days lol by the way a byline to my story my husband left me for a 350lb woman on the net lolol isnt that a killer lol but ive got a great guy now hes a dream come true hugs to all.........barbie

Barbara, WOO HOOO you otta be in pictures!!! What a wonderful testmony to post to the site. You have done an amazing job with your loss and obviously your life is making some major headway as well. Best of wishes to you on the plastic surgery approval. KimmieTN

Congradulations on your weight loss and your upcomming marriage. I have a couple questions for you since I too started at about 380. How long did you see a steady loss, how fast did you lose it. I have been told that I am not losing weight fast enough and that really bothers me. I was also told that I would loose most of it in the first 6 months and since i have not broke 300 yet and I am 3 months post op I am beginning to worry about this. Please let me know what you can. i have now gone from 380 lbs to my present weight of 154 im really told im to thin isnt that wild my life has totally changed i have a new guy in my life and getting remarried in may but ill never forget where i came from and what life was like before, people treat me so different now its amazing
