I live in Flint Michigan. I am 35 years old mother of 2 boys ages 2 and 6. I have been happily married for 3 years now, to the best man any woman could ask for. I have been over weight for around 20 years. I started this journey in June 2008 With Dr. KIA at the Mclaren Bariatric Center and weighed 366 lbs. Today I am 319 lbs and 19 days post op. I love this new feeling of control over my life.

1/5/2009 I have reached my first goal! I started this at 366 lbs and trying to be practical my goal was under 300lbs. I did it !! At my Dr. office today i weighed in at 298 I teared up! the nurse probably thought I was nuts!!! My next goal is 250. My Dr. was so happy I was taking 7 pills and 2 insulin shots a day. I now only take my vitamins and fiber supplement's. I have not felt this good since 1989 I love my new life and so does my family.

We joined the YMCA today and water aerobics start Monday!! Watch out world here I come!!!

I love the YMCA, Water aerobics is awesome. I can now walk 2 miles in 30 min. Even my kids love to go to the gym. I feel so good like a new woman a smaller healthier new woman!!! I am so glad I did this WLS was a choice that was not easy to make. I know now I made the right one for myself and my family!!!!
