I am 44 yrs old I have 2 children. I work full time. I weigh 240lbs wishing I was 125. I'd settle for any weight loss. I am hoping to have surgery. Haven't talk to surgeon yet about what procedure yet. Will do that this Friday May 23, 2003. I am so excited. I want this so bad. I just hope it dosn't take a long time to set a surgery date. I just pray everything goes okay.
I had the surgery on Oct. 16, and today on the 25th I am on pureed foods and no pain. I feel like a new person. I can't beleive only a few tablespoons fill me up. I am down 16lbs. My first week check up was yesterday. Iam so happy I had this surgery..

I have lost a total of 40 lbs. now. I feel better now than I have in years. I have more energy. I can eat just about anything in small amounts, The only thing that bothers me is bread so I stay aeay from it who needs it... I use crackers instead. I started exercising on a treadmill I go 1/2 mile a day. I never thought I would enjoy exercising so much. I'm so glad I had this surgery.

I haven't updated in awhile, been busy enjoy my new life. I am down 81 lbs. I feel wonderful. Busy buying new clothes and enjoying life.. I have so much energy now. my hair was thinning for awhile but I started taking Zinc it really helped I am no longer losing my hair. I can eat just about everything except Ice cream. It makes me very sick. but who needs ice cream. I'll eat yogurt. Its better for me. Who would ever think I would be saying that.. I was an Ice cream junkie. Life it so much better now. Even my kids see how much happier I am.

Its been one year today. I have had a great year of losing weight. I am down to 148lbs i feel good except for I have to have my gallbladder out because of all the weight loss. Having a gallbladder attack is the worse pain I ever felt. I have learned the hard way not to eat fried foods. My hair is coming in very thick again I found out Biotin works really good for thinning hair. I haven't felt this good in 20years. Its great going out to buy clothes now I wear a size 10. Its such a great feeling. Friends that haven't seen me for awhile don't even reconize me. I had Lasik surgery for my eyes so I don't have to wear glasses anymore. Things I would have never done I'm doing now. Just Living Life.....

Its been almost 18 months since surgery. I have lost a total of 118 lbs. Dr. Quinlan doesn't want me to lose anymore but I feel I need to lose at least 20 more pounds. I weigh 135 and am only 5'0 tall. I go to see the plastic surgeon on the 8th to see about a panni removal, I hope my insurance pays for it. I feel really well since I had my gallbladder out in november. Had some problems but Dr. Quinlan fixed me up. I'm so happy enjoying life. I can actually do my gardening now. I can do so much I hate to go to sleep at night. I don't want to stop. This surgery is the best thing ever. Life is great!

Its been awhile. I'm still doing great staying at 138, I feel great and healthy. I can eat just about everything. I watch my weight very closely I don't want to go back the way I was. My life has turned around I am so much happier, I have a lot of success in my job. Everything is going well with my life. I'm so glad I had this surgery done. I didn't have any success in having the insurance pay for my panni removal so I put it on hold for awhile till I can afford to pay for it myself. I can live with a little apron for a while longer. I lived with an excess of 100 lbs for 20 years. Life is still great!

Its been awhile since I updated. It's been 3 years now. Still keeping my weight down. I struggle everyday to make sure I don't gain the weight back. I have gained about 15 lbs back. But I'm okay with that. But I really have to watch, I fear that I will gain it all back. That scares me. I just had an appointment with the plastic surgeon to have a pani removal and tummy tuck. I hope the insurance will pay for most of it. My family Dr and surgeon are trying for me. We have done all the requirements. I just have to wait now and see. If not I have to wait till next year and save the money to do it. It will run around $6,000.00. Money well worth spent as I see it. I still am greatful that I was able to have the surgery and have the insurance company pay for it. Life is still good. No health problems. I just had all my blood work done and everything is great. Just enjoying Life. My daughter got married in August, I was so happy to be thin, that I could dance at the wedding and looked great in my gown. I came across a old picture from 1998 at work today and I can't believe that was me, I wanted to cry, I was so obese, how could I let myself get to that point. I can't imagine being like that again. My heart breaks when I see a person struggling with their weight. It is so hard to get it to come off when you have so much to lose. Thank GOD for this surgery, I pray that every person who wants to have it is able to.

Its been 14 weeks since I had by Tummy tuck done and I still feel swollen at the end of the day. Its good that I don't have that big over hang now. I look and feel better in my clothes. My insurance paid most of it. I had to come up with $2500.00 for the tightening of the stomach muscles and a new belly button. It was a good price for the out come. Dr Kang in Erie did a very nice job.
