I had a bit of a bump in the road. I gained some weight that Dr. Tex wanted me to lose. SO I am doing that and I have a new date which is

This is my second time around in this process. I was going to have the surgery back in the spring of 2002 but my surgery date was pushed back and then I was laid off and lost my insurance....Fast forward to now. I got new insurance 11/1/05. I was going to have the open surgery but changed my mind. I am going the laparoscopic route.
I met with Dr. Teixeira and went to a group meeting at his office. He is one of the most personable and approachable doctors I have ever met. I would reccomend him to anyone. Also his nutritionist Aisling is awesome. She is so patient and explains everything about the diet. I did all my required doctor consultations and bloodwork and I got my six month weight loss letter.
It is now almost exactly a year after I got my insurance. I got a call from the doctor's office to schedule my pre-surgery testing and surgery date!!!!!

About Me:
I am back in college now finishing up a degree in architecture. I live on campus. I'm having the surgery right before the Thanksgiving break so it works out pretty well.
