The folks in my support group said that your metabolism goes way down after surgery because you eat so little, and that those who walk quickly (aerobically) on a treadmill or outside, or even in a mall, for half an hour every day, heal the quickest and lose the most weight! Because it boosts their metabolism back up. So, as soon as you're on your feet, Get Walking, Woman! You'll heal quicker and get skinny faster. Your angel sounds great! I'm someone's angel, too, and will do everything I can to help her, including staying up with her long-distance the night before her surgery, if she gets the last minute jitters!
