Allegheny General Hospital

"There were a handful of nurses aides and nurses who made my experience a pleasant one. I do not have any complaints about the workers themselves, I do feel the hospital was understaffed on the evening and night shifts. The workers on those shifts kicked it up a notch to get done what needed to be done. Most of the time I had my own room and was left alone for the most part by the staff, unless I had called them for something or they needed to give me a med or check my vitals. "

Miles Weaver

"My first impression of Dr. Weaver was that he is a very compassionate, caring man. He apologized to me 3 times for keeping me waiting, when I didn't feel I had waited long at all. He explained the two types of surgery he performes in detail, and answered all of my questions. He did not make me feel rushed at all. He explained to me how long he had been performing the procedures and approx. how many he had performed. I feel that he was the perfect choice for me. I feel very comfortable with him as my surgeon. I most definately would recommend Dr. Weaver to anyone who is thinking about having WLS. I have talked on the phone numerous times to Linda, his nurse and Annette, another member of his staff. Both women are very nice and very patient in answering any questions and helping me get all the info to them needed from my pcp. "
