5 years!!!!!!

5 years later! I can't believe it. It seems my old life never was there.  my weight at 145 instead of 270, Sitting here and reflecting on it, I truly have come a long way. Now I am tired cause I work as a Sous Chef and am on my feet 12 hours a day. I hit the floor running and don't stop. Before the surgery I was tired just getting up and then spending my time thinking what I wanted to eat. I have been to the fast food places once to eat in 5 years. The rest are coffee time for me. I hate the food that is there, it now tastes wrong.

When I look in the mirror now I don't see the old me. In fact I saw an old picture of me and didn't know who it was! I like to shop now, what a terrible gut wrenching chore back then, Now I wear junior clothes and high heels and eat within reason and no one says "don't you like that" when I ask for a doggy bag. ON the down side I can't have a good turn at a buffet or eat a giant ice cream loaded with toppings(yes, that can be a little sad). I do get more attention than I would like (ha! who am I kidding, its fun to get a promotion or a door opened) but I look older than I am because when I was heavy, i  never had a wrinkle or a rooster neck, can I live with that? you betcha. I have found I do have osteopenia whether that is from very early menopuase at age 30 or from the surgery I will never know but I take my vitamins (one a day active women) I rarely drink alcohol.
If you asked me would I do this again, hell yes. Even my freinds who have had minor complications requiring surgeries dont look back. Sometimes my blood sugar drops and I need to drink orange juice to feel better. sometimes I have one bite too much and the pain! sometimes even a small bowl of cereal is bad for my belly (i don't know why but it feels like it swells up.
So I make the changes and live with the booboo's of eating the wrong thing, I cant really wear a bikini cause of saggy skin, my boobs look like , well I don't really know what they look like but they are perky in a southerly sort of way. And its still all good!
