I am a 35 year old with 2 girls 6 & 8. I have had an on going weight problem since childhood. I did have a period of about 3 years where I was at my ideal weight so I know what it feels like to be healthy and able to do the normal day-to-day things we have to do without pain and agony. I miss it!
I long to be able to walk from one end of the house to the other, without being out of breath. I would love to go out and play with my girls. Ride bikes again and even roller blade. My husband always wants us to go water skiing or snow skiing, but doesn't understand that I just can't bare the thought of it. He is wonderful though, he loves me for who I am and says no matter how my appearance changes it doesn't change the person I am inside. I really found a keeper!!
I had a Dr. appt today with my PCP. Everything went well but she is sending me for x-rays of my knees and ankles due to constant pain. She is also sending me for a sleep study for sleep apnea. I also have GERD and she put me on Nexium for that. I have been trying to fight it for 3 months with OTC meds but it didn't work. We are trying to get our ducks in a row and get things all ready for when I get an appointment with a surgeon. Hopefully if we have all the things needed it wont take quite as long to get the ball rolling and working on an approval for the surgery. For now, I keep on going on, hurry up, and wait.
