4 YEARS!
Oct 10, 2012
Hello All!
The 16th of this month will mark my 4 year anniversary of my LapSleeve surgery!
I dont blog much or visit the site daily, but am always glad when I do. Here is the scoop...
5 years ago I hit 'the wall.' I had hit rock bottom and was officially ready to take permanant measures. I was over 300lbs when I started my journey. I researched for about a year. I even bought the online report cards for the surgeons. Definitely not as exciting as I thought, lol.
After all my digging I knew I wanted a place that would take care of me, I went to a seminar at PSSC in Edmonds (Puget Sound Surgical Center). I was amazed at the program, but also amazed my thoughts had changed. I went anticipating information on LapBand surgery... all the rage. I left with a tough decision to make. I was honest with myself and knew the LapSleeve was right for me. (If anyone could manipulate a band it would be this girl).
Best Decision EVER...
After meeting Dr Peter Billing, I knew he was in this for the right reasons. He made me feel comfortable and very informed about what I was about to do.
I still see Dr Billing... I am 4 years out... time flies and it was never easy in the beggining. It is easy now and I have had a lot of help and support throughout my journey. If you want more details on my story, I am on the website too! www.pugetsoundbariatrics.com
130lbs STILL GONE.... Good riddance! Thank you PSSC and Dr B! I can't beleive how fast 4 years flies when you are healthy and happy!

Back to Chewables!
Jan 27, 2011
For the past year I have been taking 'regular' multivitamins & Iron that you swallow. I don't feel as good.... and have been having a couple small issues. I am switching back to the Bariatric Advantage vitamins I love! There really is not a big price difference, so I might as well use something I know works for me!
They also have a cool new tool on their website that will text reminders to you to take your vitamins! NICE! LOL!

Fat Pants
Dec 14, 2010
I am wearing my "fat" pants today. Ugh... I know it's just girl issues, but I actually put them on today. I typically just look at them in the closet. Just goes to show you need to get rid of anything oversized! I think I would be more motivated to be more active if I had worn regular pants today (and suffered).
Who knows?!

Fat people are funny?
Dec 04, 2010
Hello - a random thought - Just because you lose weight does NOT mean you lose your sense of humor! I was worried at first! I do think large people tend to deal with issues with humor and get darn good at it... you can still be funny!

I love my job!

I am so grateful to work for such a great cause! Being involved with a successful Bariatric Program is amazing. I meet so many wonderful people at the first steps of their life changing journey! Today I ran into a family waiting to pick up their daughter from surgery - the Dad recognized me from a seminar he attended with her. I am so excited to be waist deep in this program!
It is good for my heart and soul. I can't wait to see the progress of some cool peeps I have recently met in our program!
