Karaleen
I am a two continent inhabitant of the earth - Alaska and Europe. I was raised in Alaska, but have traveled extensively, first with my American parents and now with my German husband.
We are retired now and my hubby says eating is our hobby, though I beg to differ, for me it is not a hobby but a necessary obligation. Just read the recipe and I gain weight.
I would like to somehow turn off the valve but still get nourished properly. I am NOT a "fast food" eater, I prefer normal healthy foods, salads, veggies and fruit preferrably raw, but for some reason do not find the right combinations or something of that nature or eat just too much. I like to do small portions several times a day and am trying to follow the eating plan of presurgery preparation to trick my stomach into smaller "thinking" and want to also do the post surgery eating, now.
I have found a surgeon in this country who has performed several VSGs, but am still full of questions and fears.
My best friend has had the VSG already since the end of Sept last year and doing very well and totally satisfied with Dr. Alvarez. We were going to go to him together, but my time was too short in the States, so I couldn't accompany her. She emailed me today about this site to alleviate my worries and to tell me that I am not too old to have it done. I wonder.....................
