Its been a while
Jun 26, 2009
I am still training for a half marathon, but I had a set back. I tore a ligament in my right knee back in May and now I have to have surgery on it. So I am waiting for that. I have not been running since then, but my doctor told me that I can go back to running but need to start off slow. After surgery, I will probably be out for about a week and a half. Well anyway, I posted some new pictures. Let me know what you think. Until the next time.................
Feelin' Good
Apr 08, 2009
I am still waiting to hear about the tummy tuck. I am waiting for my primary care doctor and my RNY doctor to get my medical records to the plastic surgeon. I am hoping all goes well with that. I am kind of excited about it. So I'll keep you updated on that. I have to keep my fingers crossed.
LOL. I am still training for the half marathon. I am excited some days, and other days I am like- what am I thinking about.
But I have more good days than bad. I still need to get use to running outside in the morning. The air hitting my chest and in my lungs is hard to take when you are not use to it. But its getting better. I have been doing pretty good. I am VERY thankful for the surgery. It has improved my health and makes me feel better about myself. I cannot wait to wear tank tops this summer. We are going to Disney in July and I may even slip on a bathing suit.
Don't hold me too it.....I might change my mind....lol. Well until the next time......................
3 More Pounds
Mar 09, 2009
That is so great. I feel so wonderful about this. I haven't been on here in a while, but I have been doing pretty good. I am training for a half marathon. I plan to run it January 2010. So wish me luck. I am psyched about it. I am also going to the doctor to have a look at my stomach for plastic surgery. My appointment is tomorrow. I don't know if it will get approved, but I guess we will see. I have had a bad rash because of the loss skin. So if my insurance deems it medically necessary, I guess I'll be getting it done. I'll keep you posted. Well until the next time......
Setting a New Goal
Feb 05, 2009
They said no, but they would cheer me on.
So what else can I ask for. We are going to turn it into a vacation. I am really ready for this. I am training for it now. It is hard work, but I am up to it. So wish me luck. Until the next time...........
1 Year Anniversary
Dec 04, 2008

Actually it was on Sunday, November 30th. As I looked back over this past year, I am SOOO glad I made the decision to have the RNY surgery. I have had a few downs, but I would do them all again if I could get this same end result. I have lost 100 pounds that I know I would not have lost otherwise. I am so grateful for the surgery and Dr. MacDonald. He is a great doctor. I feel wonderful. I can sleep all night, my back doesn't hurt, my joints don't pop. WOW!!!
What can I say??? Ican't say it enough, I am grateful. God made all of this possible.
He helped me make it through the surgery and every day since then. It has been a wonderful journey. Like I said before, I would do it again because it was all worth it. I am enjoying how I feel now. I work out on a regular basis and love it. I liked it before, but I was so heavy it just seemed to overwhelm me. Now I run and it feels good. I weigh 186 pounds as of today. I never thought I would weigh one anything again.
But here I am. I would like to lose another 20 pounds. But if I don't, I will be fine because I have lost 100 pounds. That is a great accomplishment. Thanks to everyone for their support and encouraging words. Well until the next time..........
100 Pound Loser
Nov 15, 2008
I am so excited. I started out at 286 and I am now 186. I thought I would never get to this point. It is such a great feeling. I wanted to lose 100 pounds, but if I didn't I would have been ok. I will be a year out November 30th and this is great! I will admit that I wanted to lose 100 pounds by my year mark and I have done it ! I want to thank everyone for all their support. It is so nice to know that people are in your corner. Thanks so much. I would like to lose about 20 more pounds, but if I don't, I'll be ok. I feel so. This surgery has been one of the best decisions that I have made. It has all been worth it. Thanks everyone. Until the next time.........
2 Pounds Away from 100
Oct 05, 2008
As of this morning, I weighed in at 188!!!!
Can you believe it???
I hardly can myself. I am now 2 pounds away from having lost 100 pounds. I am such a LOSER!!!
I feel so good. I am in a large shirt and size 16 pants. I may even be able to get into a 14. I haven't pushed my luck yet. Last Monday, I went for my check up. It was supposed to be my 6 month check up, but it kept getting pushed back. So it was my 10 month check up. I will be a year out November 30th. So Dr. MacDonald said this will be my year appointment. Dr. MacDonald told me that I was doing great and to keep up the good work. I told him that when I look in the mirror, I still see the same 286 pound girl. He said that he has heard that alot. But he said that is normal and my mind perception will change. Sometimes I see the "new" me, but other times I see the "old" me.
I guess I have seen thta 286 pound girl for so long. But I am 188 and not going back.
I did notice that I can eat a little more than I did before, but I am watching that. It is not much, but I notice it. So I am keeping my eye on that. I need to update my pictures. So keep a look out for that. Well until the next time..........
Life is Going Good
Sep 20, 2008
So I can say I am happy about that. Anyway, I am in a size 16, but still wear some of my 18's. I am still nervous about trying on clothes. I guess it is just going to take a while to get over that. I will say, I LOVE my new shape.
When I look in the mirror, I'll hug my clothes close to my body so I can actually see how far I have come. It is a great feeling. It is just great to have a waist again.
My husband loves it too. He says that I was fine before the surgery, but I notice that he looks at me more now and can't keep his hands off of me.
Its a nice feeling. I noticed that my thighs are smaller and so are my arms. My stomach has REALLY gone down. So I can say that I am feeling great. The surgery was worth it. I would do it again in a minute. For me, it was worth it.
Well until the next time............
Doing Fine
Aug 19, 2008
That is so great. I would like to lose about 30 more pounds. But if I don't lose another pound, I have lost 92 and that is great.
I have been doing fine. I feel great and, if I do say so myself, looking great.
Things have been going pretty good for me. I HAVE to thank God for this has truly been a blessing and all thanks to Him. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing fine. Until the next time..........
Finally Back in Onederland
Jul 26, 2008
I know, it is not impossible to gain weight, but I was still worried. I usually gain about 2-3 pounds before my period, but this wasn't it. I was kind of worried about it. I went back up to 204.
I wasn't too happy I will admit I even posted on the forum about it. I was told it was probably water weight. Which I am sure it was I kind of figured it was, but I still didn't want it there. Well now I am back at 199, as of this morning.
I also have noticed that I am hungry more than normal. I wonder if that is normal. I feel like I am eating too much and don't want to strecth my stomach. Anyone else feeling like this? Well other than that, I am doing pretty good. Just taking this thing one day at a time Hope all is well for everyone else. Until the next time.........
