5/06 Had the surgery it was extremely painful!!!!!!! I felt like someone continously kicked me in my stomach. Like I was kicked by a horse or something???? I'll update more soon........

4/06 Okay I had a visit with Dr J and he wants me on a liquid diet 10 days prior to surgery. This really sucks! He says because I hold alot of my weight in my tummy he wants my liver and other organs to shrink. He says when you are tummy heavy your organs are enlarged. He did put me on a diet back in 12/05 but I really didn't take it seriously. I thought about things I wouldn't be able to eat anymore and actually gained 5 lbs. I joined weight watchers for the last time and lost 12 lbs (remember 5 of it that I gained after my initial visit with the surgeon). My sister and I are going to Outback Steakhouse for my last "big meal." Doing liquids only is very difficult I think I'm gonna past out..... But I have to be dilligent otherwise Dr. J won't be able to do it laproscopically and will have to cut me down the middle. If you can avoid having that done it would be best I think. Wish me luck!

3/06 I spoke to my mom and she wants to be here when I have my surgery. Initially i was looking at the beginning of May but since my parents will already be here visting I'm gonna do it while they are here. My date will be 4/20/06!!!!!!!! I am soooooo ready to be on the losing "side."

2/06 I got a letter from insurance company stating that I am approved!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!! They told me before Neweigh did, isn't that something? Now its just a matter of time........I think I'm gonna shoot for May....
Update on intake process

12/30/05 The intake process went okay, they seem very confident that my surgery will be approved. I was given a list of different tests that had to be taken prior to surgery (ex. psych eval, bloodwork, sleep study, EKG etc). Since seeing all of the other sucessful people that have had this surgery I wish i could have mine done now :)

12/29/05 I have an appt with Neweigh for the intake process. My co-worker discovered OH and I have been addicted to it.
