My main insurance is Medicaid and I have found it's not Medicaid but the Doctor's who won't take "only" Medicaid. God Bless Dr. Cannon. To qualify for surgery through Medicaid, I had to jump through one really tough hoop. I had to lose 10% of my body weight. I started at 371 lbs. So to get approved for surgery I had to lose 37 pounds. That is why my little ticker here starts so high. That got me to 333 lbs. However, by the time they ok'ed me I was back up to 340. People kept asking me why I don't just keep losing the way I was. I wondered too until I lost the 37 pounds then right away, started eating what I wanted and guess what? I started gaining again. See the quick gain. I did lose 37 pounds in two months though. Today, March 28, I weigh 316 lbs. Today, April 20, I weigh 295.8. I am losing about 20 pounds a month, not bad.
