My name is Jeff and I didn't start gaining weight until I was in my mid twenties. I was very active in my youth. I was athletic and played all kinds of sports. After high school I served 5 years in the Marine Corps. My wife and I are doing this journey together. I have a surgery date of 2/16/09 while she is waiting until school is out in June. (school teacher) We have decided that we are still too young to live the rest of our lives miserable with bad health. We have so much that we still want to accomplish. We have a ten year old son at home and hope to guide him in the right direction to a healthier lifestyle.
