I am not 10.5 months post RYN and I have lost 92.5 inches and 140 pounds. It feels amazing and omitting the flab, I love my new body. Granted I am just barely over half way of my total goal, I have lost 1/3 of my total body weight. It all just seems surreal to me. But I am very thankful. I have gone down from a 6x to a 2x and can even wear a few 1xl.

Is it just me or is anyone else having any problems since their WLS. I had my LGB 7 months ago and I just spent 3 days in the hospital this week with severe stomach pains. The only thing that we really found out was that my liver enzymes are through the roof!! So further testing is still being done. My weight loss has just about stopped for almost a month now.I am about to get discouraged with my progress. I have lost 120 pounds so far. But less than 5 in the last month. I am ready for the pain, nausea, and vomitting to go away and stay away.

I finally did it! I lost 101 pounds as of today. My mother's day could not be more perfect. I have even gone from size 6x to size 3x clothes. I have my 6 month check-up this Wednesday and I have to have my pouch dialated on Thursday. Most of my family is estatic for me. But there always to be one naysayer in the crowd. My sister is so jealous of me she cant even see straight anymore. I just pray that she will find a way to lose the much needed weight herself. Congrats to all who have had weight loss surgery. And Happy Mother's Day to all!!!

77 pounds gone!!!

I am finally down 77 pounds in just 13 weeks. It is an awesome feeling. I still have problems with heartburn which makes me ill. Besides that, I am so excited to have travelled down this long road. Good luck to all on this same path.

More surgery may be needed...

I went to see my surgeon yesterday and he was not pleased with my status at this time. He did a CT scan, labs and today I had a EGD and they lanced one of my incisions that the CT scan had revieled had an abcess. My pain is some what better today, but if I am still having problems with N & V, he is going to go in open abdominal and do exploratory surgery to check for any other problems that are causing my problems. I do not want more surgery. But he is determined to make me better. I had lost 54 pounds as of today though.

50 pounds off!!!

I actually lost 50 pounds so far. I am still having many problems to deal with. I am still having problems with nausea and vomiting and the pain is still surreal. I go back to the MD for my follow up appt tomorrow. This is the follow up from my second surgery. I have become lactose intolerant now, and my taste buds are very sensitive. Foods that I liked before surgery I cant stand the taste of now. I seem to be living primarily of popsicles(frozen fruit bars), goldfish cheese crackers, and protein bars. I cant tolerate my medicines especially my pain meds. My husband has turned his back on me now and is resentful of me and my surgeries. He is on a self pity kick right now. I am still thankful I had the surgery, I just wished that I had the support team that I started out with and that I had not had any complications to go with it.

Things aren't going according to plan!!

Yesterday was my one month anniversary since my gastric bypass. Three weeks to the day later i was back in surgery for bowel obstruction/hernia repair surgery. And to top it off, I was back in the ER with another possible hernia last night. I wish everyone the best that has had smooth sailing since their surgery's. Mine has just been a nightmare so far.

2 days and counting...

Only 2 days left til surgery and getting more anxious by the hour. Car is already packed and all ready to go. We leave out at 6am tomorrow morning and I can hardly wait. My parents are taking me and I am so thankful for them.

3 days til surgery

I went to see my surgeon on Wednesday and I had lost 16 pounds on the liquid diet so far. I was so excited. I am now only 3 days away from surgery and beginning to really get nervous. My husband got a new job and is not going to be able to go with me for my surgery so I am having a hard time with that. My parents are going so as long as mom is there I will be ok.
We still dont know for sure which way the surgery will be done. The surgeon will try for laproscopic but due to my girth being so large, he may have to change to open abdominal. We are all praying that that does not have to happen.
I have everything packed already cause I have to go monday morning to the hospital and have a pic line placement. That sounds painful to me.
I know that it is all in God's hand, but its hard to leave everything there at times.

I am excited but apprehensive to start the liquid diet on Tuesday. It means to me that I am really down to the final days and part of me is excited and part of me is scared to death. I have been closely following the blogs of recent surgeries and that is conforting but I just feel this is still surreal. I will wake up tomorrow and there will be a catch somewhere. I am worried about Dec 8th because I have 3 appointments back to back, between the MD, NUT, and the preadmit testing. And the papers read that if you are late to one it will mess up your surgery date up. That makes me nervous that something will go wrong. I believe in worrying today instead of putting it in God's hands. That is another one of my weaknesses.
I found out today my whole family; parents, sister, best friend, mother in law and husband,will all get to go with me to the hospital when I have my surgery. That really does mean a lot to me. Now I have to do my part and not have any complications and get the weight off and keep it off.
I am still uncertain of what to pack to take to the hospital. If anyone could give imput I would be grateful!! I know the basics and CPAP and walker, but can I wear my PJ's or will I have to wear there fashionable gown.
Any help would ease my mind and be appreciated.
