Lapband has been removedhttp://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/i

I have had complications for the last year and finally, it was discovered that my lapband had completely slipped and I was unable to even get liquids down.  At the point of entering the ER I was told that my stomach was so badly inflamed that it wasn't even possible to try and replace the band.  I am down to 162 and now I am afraid it will all come back...

One week and counting down

Dec 28, 2006

My surgery is in one week!!  I am so excited!
I am only sad that I won't be surrounded by my friends and family for support.  My husband will be with me and here for me as much as possible, but since we have twin two year old boys...he will have his hands full.  I wish that I could have him by my side right before surgery and when I come out, but with no one else to watch the kids, this is virtually impossible.  This is the hardest part of going through this...I feel like I will be doing it on my own.  I know that I can, but I just don'w want to...this sounds like I am whining (at least to me)
I know I am doing what is right for me and for my family.  I guess there is a little part in the back of my brain that is a tad nervous about the "what-ifs"  however I am trying hard not to go there.
I love my husband and my boys and I am doing this as much for me as for them!
