Met with surgeon. Approved!Waiting for insurance. IF I'm approved-surgery will be 4-6 wks from today. Please put me in your prayers. Very nervous all the sudden-(want approval but am now terrified) I know this is normal, but its also pretty scary. Jodie

Just waiting to here from Dr. Murr's office. Very excited.Next hurdle is insurance
(i'm having a little to much fun with these) I've lost over 15lbs on my own. Hope to lose @ least 10 more b4 surgery. Been working on this since March- excited that things are progressing. Glad I've had time to prepare-journey has been great-feel much more prepared.

R.D and phd appt changed until 9/14. PHD had death in family but all will be a go on 9/14 per office manager. Surgery should be 3rd week of Oct. Amazing how much extra energy i have lately- just from diet change and exercise. Need to remind myself of this when i feel so desparate to return to old habits. Remind myself that slow and steady whens the race- this isn't a sprint. I just got to keep focused and have faith.

Saw my primary M.D. today. Lost nine pounds since last month. Most of that within last week. Appt. withn therapist and nutritionist really hit home with me. Time to get serious and focused for the surgery. My goal is to lose another 20-25lbs. b4 surgery. Feel very focused although saw the memorial page tonight and it hit home that the risks are real and can happen to young people(I'm 40 not young but not old). Will update as appts.come up. Haveappt. 8/29 with PHD and Tues. 9/4 with Barb RD. Hopefully will be closer to surgery date. My motto during this is slow and steady wins the race. Ciao.
