I have been heavy most of my life from child hood to now. My highest weight was 281lbs. I am a mother of two beautiful daughters and a great husband. I have lived in a home of slim people that can eat more food than I ever could and they all stay slim with the exception of me. I had my RNY surgery on August 20th, 2008 at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC. My surgeon was Dr. Bradley Amson. The day of my surgery I weighed in at 269lbs. I am now one month post op and weigh in at 239lbs... 30lbs are gone.
Every day is a struggle for me in trying to make sure that I am eating the proper foods. My menu consists of cottage cheese, yogurt, canned mandarin oranges, 1/2 dry toast and a poached egg, protein shake of orange juice, protein powder and frozen strawberries, a bit of green salad and bean salad and chili. Things are getting easier... I just need to learn to feed my new stomach properly and I am so worried right now that I will stretch my stomach and not lose the weight. I am so thankful for this site so that I can read on others jourey with WLS
