"Dr. Kaczmarski is a very nice Doctor. My first interaction with him showed a very caring and compassionate Doctor who really wanted to answer all questions that I had about the surgery. He spent as much time as I needed answering all of my questions before I made a decision. I think his surgical competence is great and that he has a nice bedside manner. My first few days after surgery were horrible with constant nausea. I had a problem with the ox sat monitor one night and it must have fallen off of my finger. The nurse on staff abruptly woke me up and made me sit in a chair for the next four hours. She didn't really give me any direction on what I was supposed to be doing and I thought she was quite rude. I remember when I woke up seeing the monitor say something around 80, but someone told the Doctor that it was 40. I told the Doctor that I didn't appreciate being treated so rudely and he at first stood up for the nurse and was quite rude with me. I think he was just frustrated because he thought I was being a difficult patient but I knew what I was feeling. He was not listening to me at first but after he listened and I told him there was no way it was at 40, he saw my side and we kind of met in the middle. I think that most of this feeling from me came from me not feeling very well since surgery and wondering if I had made the biggest mistake of my life. In the end, he was very nice and forgot about that incident, and I pushed it aside so that I could focus on my recovery. He did have the head nurse come in an speak with me as well so that she could be aware of what I was experiencing. I thought that this approach was very good so that they could see that a patient was affected by care."
