I had my GBS on 11/9 at Westchester Medical Center in NY, and I've been doing just great since.  The day after the surgery I kept thinking "OMG, what have I done?", I was not feeling well at all and in some pain.  But since then, I'm back to my normal self, just eating a WHOLE lot less!  Thank goodness my sister had the surgery in June, because she's been keeping me in clothes that fit!  I feel terrific, I have so much energy, and I'm really enjoying life a lot more.  I even enjoy food more, in spite of the fact that I eat so much less of it!  I've lost about 35 lbs since the surgery, nearly 75 since my highest weight.  Yay! 

I got the call I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks for - my insurance company approved me for the RNY surgery, first time!  So now I need to set up my pre-op appointments and get ready for the big day!
