Thanks for everyone's support. Today has been a good day so far. The scale keeps dropping and so I am very happy about that. Last night I had some pecan chicken, with a small side of mash potatoes and some aspargus. I also had some wine for the first time. That was a crazy experience. It was as if my motor skills was entact, but my inhibitions were out the window.
I had a great work out this morning. I am up to 45 minutes of cardio every day and stretching at the end of my workout. Next week I am going to ramp up to working out with weights. I can't weight. No pun intended :)...
I am also going to massage therapy regularly now and a chiropractor. These are helping me relax and focus on my daily life. It's all about me now, instead of focusing on other people. I am putting myself and my health first. Things are going great. They don't go great every day, and the scale does get stuck from time to time, but as of right now, I can't complain one bit.
I want to make as many friends as I can on here and help people as much as possible. Please invite me to be a friend because I want to read your story. I get inspired from so many people's stories here. It's great. Good luck to everyone. Thanks for reading my post.

Guess I have to start somewhere October 16th 2008

So its the 16th of October and I finally started writing this blog. I had my 2 month post op check up today and it went great. My starting weight was 425 and now I am down to 361 in just under 2 months. That's 64 pounds in 8 weeks. Not too bad. I am up to working out every day, just cardio though. I do about 45 minutes of cardio a day. Next week I am going to start working out with weights.
So, this week on Tuesday I had a massage. It was the best thing ever. I never remember feeling so good and relaxed. All this tension going on with work, and everything that you are going through in your mind because you can eat just about anything now, but you have to be so careful about not eating the wrong things. Not to say that I am eating horribly, but I could definitely be making better choices. I think I feel the best when I stay away from processed foods. I am feeling great and I just want to start writing about it.
I really want to start helping people who are going through this, thinking about going through it, or just want to chat or have questions. One of the things that I have found extremely helpful is mental therapy. My therapist, Lisa Driver, located in Wake Forest, NC has been awesome. I actually see her once a week and it has been SOOOOO tremendously helpful. Here is her website. http://www.bethenewyou.com Its great, she is great, check it out, call her if you can and just talk to her. Tell her you found her website through here and my blog, she will be pleased. I am going to start posting much more often, so I hope I get to know a bunch of people here and find some great friendships. Stay tuned for more good news
