"Fantastic surgeon! She made sure I understood this was a tool towards a lifestyle change, not an easy fix, so I went into it with a clear understanding that I'd have to do the work. She was sensitive to the quality-of-life issues that overweight people suffer from and certainly was never condescending or made me feel embarrassed. Very competent attitude and high expectations of her patients' nutritional education; I heard anecdotal stories of her refusing to perform surgery if patients couldn't answer questions like what their post-surgery protein and fluid requirements were.
