I have been married to Dan for 17 years and we have an 18 y/o daughter, Jessica. Jessica is expecting a son in April so I hope everything with my surgery goes well and I am all healthy by that time. We have four dogs in our house, two snakes, two frogs and several geckos. The reptiles belong to Jessica and her boyfriend, Rene', so when they go so do the non furry creatures and two of the dogs. I haven't updated my website in a while, but their are several pictures on it of our pets.

One week post op. and feeling great. I have been having trouble sleeping because I am just not comfortable on my back. That is the only complaint I have. I haven't needed the pain meds for a few days and they didn't seem to help anyway. I mainly took them for the first few nights home because they made me sleepy.

I made dinner for my girlfriend, Marcy, b/c she was coming to visit after work and bringing her 18mnth old w/her. I was so excited to have some company. We had a good time and her daughter is just the cutest thing! I sat with her while she ate and didn't even have a craving!

I surprised Marcy today when she was getting her haircut. She yelled at me for being out driving. I didn't care, I needed to get out for a bit. I asked to her to go shopping with me for Baby Shower door prizes for my Daughter, Jessica's shower that I am having in March. She agreed, what could she do, I had driven 30 miles afterall. It was fun, but I have to admit that I was a little sore when I got home, mainly from carrying my purse.

I am feeling better now that the G-tube has been removed. I was allowed to have a soft scrambled egg on Thursday and boy did it taste good! I did a little shopping today with my daughter. The mall was no fun though, too many people. I bought her an outfit to wear for her shower that I am frantically planning and it looks very nice on her. Hopefully it will in a month too!

My clothes don't fit and it's so wonderful! (except I have nothing to wear to work :) ) I haven't had any problems trying different foods and it is good, but bad at the same time. Nothing is bothering me, including pasta and bread. I ate 1/2 of a tuna sandwich yesterday for lunch and didn't have and ill effects.

I haven't posted for some time because on 4/4/06 at 8:23 PM I became a Grandma to Aurelius Daniel! He has taken over my freetime because just love to hold him and bathe him and make him laugh! My daughter is a great momomy too! If I could figure out how to post pictures, I would! I do have a link to family photos on my Geocities website, but I need to update that too.
I feel wonderful, I am so glad that I had this surgery! I have gotten sick once from eating a few raw carrotts. The terrible pain and stomach cramping came about an hour after eating them. I find myself craving hot sauce quite a bit. I am addicted to the Snyders Hot Buffalo Wing pretzel pieces. I usually have about 1/4 cup of the in the afternoon between lunch and dinner.

Thanksgiving, 2006
It has been quite a while and everything is going wonderfully!
I did have one scare last month, I passed out in the shower. Dr D. feels that I was dehydrated and that the hot shower caused me to vasodialate. Thankfully my husband was in the shower with me, (not what you think) and caught me and I didn't hit my head or anything. I did, however, break a rib. Very scarry thing to have happen, so please remember to drink your fluids!
My new job is going wonderful and I feel very appreciated there. I love dressing up now to and have even bought a few pairs of heels to wear. Let's just hope I don't break my neck wearing them b/c I have never worn heels before. It is great to finally feel good and to absolutely love to shop!

January 1, 2007!
What a year!
It has been one heck of a year for me! My surgery was 11 months ago and it has been the best choice I have ever made. I couldn't be happier. I reached my goal weight last month!
I go for my one year check-up on January 9th and also for my yearly physical. Everyone says that I look great and asks if I want to loose more. Not really. I am happy where I am, but 10 more pounds wouldn't hurt either.
