It's been quite a while!

Hello everyone!
It's been quite a while since I've visited the site. Life has sent me spinning, in a good way!
Three months after surgery I turned up pregnant. This was fantastic, but needless to say, UNADVISED by my doctors. I truely didn't believe that I could concieve without medical assistance, so this was quite a shocker for me and my husband.
I had the best pregnancy ever. I was over 100lbs. lighter, and much more comfortable than the first time around with my daughter Gillian. Even the delivery was great. Nine hours and one contraction later we had our little sweet pea, Juliet.
Through the pregnance I was still loosing weight. I went from a size 22/24 to an 8. Very weird! I gained about 25lbs. I'm still loosing, but much slower now and I'm needing to exercise to reduce the flab. Happily I've only got another 10 lbs. to go to meet my goal, as I see it.
I'm happy to be back on the site. I think that checking in every day will help me stay connected to being a bypass patient and the realization that I actually had surgery. It's easy to forget when your suddenly a healthy size and the liberation sets in! Cheers! - Anita*
