Hi, I am also a patient of Dr. Averbach/Dr. Singh. I understand your feelings of wanting this done now. I have been there/I am still there. I am scheduled for surgery on December 9. Please understand the insurance process, when you request is submitted; it is not always logged in when received, some insurance companies donot log until a decision is made. I would advise that you find what is the policy of your insurer and their timeframe and turnaround time. This will give you something to work with; some aspects of the wait will be depressing. Remember you have taken a huge step towards a healthier life. "When you get to the end of your rope, just tie a knot and hang on. If you have not, please try to attend a support group meeting at St. Agnes on the first and third Thursday. It really help. If I can be any help, please don't hestiate to contact me. Best wishes, Lisa
