jc - good luck with the upcoming surgery. Are you self-pay? I was. So my surgery ws at HssH. I would reccomend the following: 1- if not already doing so start walking 30 min per day, go to mall today if no gym membership 2- get your chewable vitamins and proteins Now. I bought most of my on-line at either bariatricchoice.com or vitalady. (the vitalady actually posts on the OH site sometimes. My sister who was sleeved 9-22-09 is down 92 lbs. she started at 250 and is almost at goal. So i've asked her a lot of questions.) 3- On your two liquid prep days go overboard on getting liquids in. You need to be hydrated going into surgery. I took mag cit really late 9 PM, but it worked in 2 hours, but still working next am too. After I was prepared 4 surgery with IV in already, it was Ok to go to bathroom, so don't be shy just ask. 4- when out of recovery & in hospital room, make sure you ask about how soon you can walk, you want to move a lot, it took 1 hour to walk once I asked because they had to get one dose of antibiotic in thru IV. 5- i've only missed walking or using ellipse machine daily one time since 1 mo. before surgery. I did not want any blood clots or other complications. 6- Make sure you have your Arixstra(sp?)before you go to hospital because you need 1st full day home... 7- First week... sip like 1/2 oz wait 2-5 min and do again, push those liquids. Good luck!! write anytime! My daughter is going to help populate my site sometime this week. ) 3-
