"When I first started this journey I had not met Dr. Selinkoff. I read about him here at ObesityHelp and was a little intimindated. Folks said he was gruff and matter of fact. Well I went to a Staple Mates meeting (support group sponsored by Dr. S) and saw him in action. He is very down to earth and to the point and wants his patients to be as well informed as possible. He really relates to the people. He make you feel like you're the only one in the room and he's talking just for you. He encourages all questions no matter how dumb you may think they are. Dr. Selinkoff is great! I felt very comfortable knowing he was going to be doing my surgery. Once you get to know him you'll find he is a very gentle and caring man. He's a big teddy bear. He's my HERO! The staff is great, they're very helpful. The aftercare program it very important to Dr. S. He wants to know everything about the way you're feeling, if you don't tell him he can't help you. "
