I got the call today...and I'm approved!!!! And my date is set for Monday, December 7! WOO HOOO!!!!!!

Just got off the phone with the Physician's Assistant, and was informed that all my paperwork was submitted to insurance for approval! So that means I can know within a few days, a couple weeks, or a month if I am indeed approved for insurance!!! Oh man...the nerves are really, really setting in now!!!!!

Well...I just came from my PCP appointment, and have been approved for surgery! Now they will fax that over to my surgeons office, and everything will be submitted to insurance! As far as I can tell all my ducks are in a row, and it's just a matter of time before I get approval for my surgery! Man, this journey has been a long one...but I have faith that it is so going to be worth it! 

Here's all I have done to date:

- 6 months of dieting classes and journals - turned in
- Stopped smoking in June
- Sleep Apnea study complete
- Upper GI complete
- Psychological exam complete
- Nutritional exam complete
- EKG complete
- Chest X-ray complete
- PCP clearence complete

Can't think of anything else that I need to do...hope I got it all and nothing was overlooked!

Here's hoping and praying for a fast surgery date! Can't wait to be an incredible shrinking machine!

Well, here I am 4 out of 6 months into the lifestyle classes, have all my t's crossed and my i's dotted for all the pre-op stuff, so I figure I better start blogging to get my journey out in the open for all kinds of things. 

As of right now I am 261 pounds, I've met with my surgeon, had my endoscope, my phych evaluation, did the sleep study, and even got my chest x-ray and EKG done. All that I have left for final approval is two more lifestyle classes, my nutritional consultation, and then my PCP approval!

Here's to becoming a HUGE loser!
