This was a revision from a bypass done in 2001. I had done excellent until around 2008 when I began gaining weight. Make a long story short, I gained about 100 lbs before II decided to see a doctor. When I did, I was already in trouble. As it turned out one surgeon refused to revise me and my surgeon took almost 8 months of testing before he decided to go inside. What turned out to have have happened was I developed a fistula between my stomach and my intestine.
Also had found out very little of my original intestine was bypassed on the last surgery.
The test that helped make the doctor decide to open me back up was a modified barium swallow. It showed that my intestine had swelled and was taking in more food than the pouch was.
I am back on track.....
Less than 2 months and I have lost 70 lbs
