"My first contact with Dr. Ramos-Kelly was by phone. He actually talked with me for about a half hour! Some surgeons in Houston ask for $100 for 10 minutes of their time. He answered all my questions and fears. When I met him in person, I knew I had made the right decision. He is very different from the proud and distant surgeons I have met. To make me more comfortable, he introduced me to a former patient who had the surgery just a few days ago. He also introduced me to his family...his wife is a nutricianist...and came to my hotel room at night to check up on me after the surgery. All the risks of surgery were addressed prior to the operation. I was given a detailed diet for after the surgery....and medication for the first few weeks. His staff were more than competent....I was under constant obsevation while in the hospital and got follow-up phone calls when I got home. Dr. Ramos-Kelly treats his practice as more than a job...it is a calling to help overweight people. I highly recommed him as a skilled and dedicated surgeon.
