I wanted to echo the last poster. I don't think you should worry so much about your baby decision. I was pregnant, while morbidly obese and it was not fun. My back killed and went out, I had gestational diabetes, hypertension, and ended up having a c-section. 8 week after the delivery my back went out again. I believe if I had less weight on me my pregnancy would have been smoother. I see no reason why you can't wait. Take care of yourself, right now, you come first. Then, when you are healthy, you can take care of your family. :-)

Dear Julie.........Please don't worry about having a baby before your surgery. It will be much better on you and baby if you wait a year or two after surgery. Healhy energetic Moms have an easier time of it. And at 29 Down's Syndrome isn't a real concern for you. I had my last baby at 42 and she's completely normal and full of energy. Luckily for me, even though I was fat while pregnant it didn't hurt my baby. I'm still fat but excited that I'm no longer morbidly obese but severely obese.<---woowoo and la-de-da! lol Ah well, I can't be anything but happy for any little step forward in the right direction no matter how small. Please put your mind at ease. You're fine waiting a little if that's what you would like to do. Take care and God Bless :)
