Thanks for all the support. I am five days out and I am doing well. When I got home I gagged the meds up, (why no liquid meds I don't know, but if you haven't had surgery yet, make SURE they give you LIQUID!!) and I never want to repeat that again. It was painful. Anyway, I have been working hard to get my protein in and I found that just mixing the unflavored protein in with warm soup has worked well and stays with me. My taste is very off, things that are "sugar free" feel like I fell into a sugar vat and canned or processed anything tastes like a salt factory. I weighed myself and I have lost 8 lbs so far. WHoo HOO!

Friday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne
