Six weeks post op

Oct 31, 2009

I had a very uneventful surgery and recovery, thank God. It has been six weeks since surgery and I am a little frustrated because I have only lost 10 lbs!
I thought by now it would have been more.
I keep hanging in there and doing the best I can with the rules and hope the weight will eventually come off.

Short Update

Jun 13, 2009

I have a couple of preop appts left. Follow up with the therapist on June 24th and appt with the Pulmonologist on July 10th.
If all goes like I want it to go, I want to have my RNY mid Sept of this year. The doctor I work with will be out of town for two weeks and it will be easier on the office if I can be out when he is.
Would love to have had WLS sooner than that. I get jealous hearing about other folks that started at the same time as me having theirs sooner (Buggyboot)Just kidding!
It was my choice to wait til Sept. And I wish her and everyone else having surgery all the very best success!
I am just tired of being tired and my knees and legs hurting all the time and having no energy!Wah! Wah!
I read all the WOW moments on here and I just want to get in on the good things that are happening to people.
This is a great site and I feel I have learned so much and will continue to learn more as I progress on this journey.

First thoughts, lots of questions

Feb 27, 2009

Just a little introduction to get started. This is me and my family this past Christmas. My family is very precious to me and they have supported me in all my efforts and will be supportive if I have RNY, also.
I am very new. Have only been to one seminar and have made my appt for the class to see if I am a candidate for weight loss surgery and to find out if my insurance will pay and hopefully to answer a lot of questions.
