wow whose that big girl
Sep 26, 2011
It's been months since i've logged onto this site and I log on and the first thing I see are those pics of the old me and it tickles me. I am 17 months post op and down 120lbs I never thought I would come this far. Ok heres the problem I find myself slipping back into those old habits, I started eating chocolate after the first six months a little at a time and totally ignored how it raised my body temperature enough to make me sweat and gag. Now I can consume a whole snickers bar in one sitting without any side effects, not good at all. At 152 lbs I have some gf's tell me that I need to "go eat a sandwich" lol but I want to see how I would look at 130lbs. Even if I am unable to maintain that weight forever I still am going to push myself to meet that goal. I will be totally honest I have maybe exercised 2 months out of the 17 but that never stopped my weight loss, I look damn good with clothes on and well naked is another story. I never really took the supplements like I was suppose to and lost over 1/2 my hair but lucky for me I started off with tons so I am not bald and those hair extensions I bought really help out. Starting today I have recommited myself to living healthier I refuse to be a diabetic again so goodbye chocolate you will be missed.

3 mo post opt
Aug 02, 2010
I am a little over 3 months post opt and am down 52 lbs. I tried to exercise at the beginning I was pretty dedicated for about the first month. My son even got me the PX90 and I did that for four days
but I can't seem to find the motivation or will to workout at all lol. I am still loosing weight even without exercising so I think I will just stick to being lazy for now and once the weight stops coming off I will force myself to exercise
. Eating is still difficult sometimes, I can go all day without a bite to eat and often only have one meal if I am at home.

Home after surgery
Apr 29, 2010
I had my surgery this Tuesday, April 27, 2010 and today I was released from the hospital and am at home trying to follow the diet the center sent me home with. I have to tell you I went to see my friend a day after her surgery and that chick was up playing social director with the other patients. I thought it was going to be that easy for me but this is not the case, I feel horrible not pain wise but just tired and worn out. I can't seem to drink everything they are requiring me to do cmon 64 ounces of water I could probably do but trying to drink 4 oz. of protein three times a day is not working out. I wonder if there is an alternative to the protein shake I am going to have to research that. Atleast today I wish I would have opted for the Lap Band but once I adjust I am sure I will be just fine.

Surgery date 4/27/10
Mar 25, 2010
My pre-op appt. went amazingly well, I don't know how but the scale at the doctors office said I was 270lbs exactly where I needed to be in order to meet the requirements for the surgery. I tell you I believe I had guardian angels angels standing behind me lifting me up ever so slightly so my actual weight 274 wouldn't be displayed on the screen lol. I am scheduled to have the RNY on April 27, 2010
Pre-Op Appt. 3/24/2010
Mar 24, 2010
Today is my pre-op visit and I am so nervous. It took me 4 months to get all the needed clearances and today I am sitting 4lbs over where I should actually be, hmmm I know they threatened not to do the surgery if I was even 1lb over so let's see how serious they really were, money talks lol.

My Pics
Nov 06, 2009
I posted these pics about three days ago, I went to my friends house and she took a few of me and I of her. We decided to have the surgery together about four months ago. We are both currently in the medical clearance stage and hopefully will be scheduled for the surgery in late December. I absolutely love looking at the before and after photos posted on this site and am amazed by the radical difference of some. I want to have one of those before and after photos where everyone would say damn she looks amazing, totally different lol. My before picture puts it all out there
