I am so grateful everything has gone so great! I went in for my 6 month check-up, all my labs were great except of course my protein was slightly low, I say of course because I don't like that meat makes me feel soooo full.
Anyhow I feel great! we are planning our trip to Disney in June as soon as school lets out for my boys, and this time I can honestly say I am actually excited about it not dreading it. It's amazing how much you want to live your life and how you look foward to new adventures, when you feel confident about yourself.
I had a friend ask me a question- What has changed in your life?
That lead me to think hard because it seems like the 6 months have just flown by. In general I just feel much more alive and I don't have that dreadful fear of a heartattack, because I was so overweight and any symptom I had I blamed towards my obesity.
@ 190 I'm 125 lbs. lighter then I was a year ago thats so amazing and 6 months out I know I did it for the right reasons MY HEALTH / MY FAMILY to be around for them. I'm gratful everyday for this second chance at life*
So I don't post as often as I should!

Will, I"m 5 months out and minus 90lbs. I'm not complaining one bit! everything has gone extremley smooth except with a couple of dumping episodes that I was suprise about, because I did not eat anything that I thought would cause me to dump- Anyhow. I am so proud to say that on spring break I rode my first roller coaster for the first time in a long time,I can't even remember how long it had been. I- so suprised my sons when I told them I was rideing one ,they said we thought you didn't like them I replied no I just couldn't fit before. needless to say I had a blast! Life is better, just because I'm starting to feel better about myself-watching the sizes change are also fun from a 26-28 to 16/18 It amazes me! I have been working out this week 4 days so far but norm is about 3Xs a week -I feel healthier. Drinking and eating and taking vitamins are still a challenge, It truly is a job getting it all in. The loosing hair is the part I hate the most! but if thats it, I'm still so grateful for this second chance
Well, bye for now !
Soon I'll post some pics

Hi! I'm Susan- a 42 yr.old mom of two wonderful boys 8 & 12, and I have an equally wonderful husband of 23 years. These are the people that make me want to live a healthy and long life.
The reason I have choosen this path, I have tried for so many years to loose weight on my own and have, only to regain it.
So, needless to say I am super excited about WLS.
I am on a waiting list for the mlitary facility here in San Antonio-hoping to hear from them soon. Meanwhile trying to the best of my ability to get ready for sugery, off diet drinks and caffine, rejoined a gym working out three times a week and reading up on high protien products, seeing a therapist I obviously have issues with food. Any info or comments are welcomed!
