Well, I've been putting this off because I don't know where to begin but here goes.  I've been over weight pretty much all of my life.  I did enjoy a skinny time when I enlisted in the Navy.  By the time I got out I had started to gain weight.  Once I was discharged, and had two babies 18 months apart that was all she wrote.  I gained well over 100 pounds.  That God I have a husband that's a God send straight from heaven because after almost 25 years of marriage (Feb 2009) he still acts like I'm the bombshell he first married.

But anyway, I have tried EVERY DIET known to man.  And of course I always lose weight and of course I always gain it back plus more.  I even tried working out to prepare for a marathon.  I was doing really good but I ended up pulling a muscle or something and couldn't continue to train.  I did run/walk the Okinawa Marathon....think I did about 8 miles....just so I could say I ran in a marathon.  I got to tell y'all this story.  I did run in a half marathon.....I was determined to finish....I ended up coming in last place....I figured by the time I reached the finish line everything would be packed up and everyone would be gone....but to my surprise they were still waiting on me....they evening started playing the Rocky song....I actually felt pretty good.  Now to top everything off when they passed out the trophies (by age group and gender) I WON FIRST PLACE in my catagory...you say how did I come in last and first place????  Well I was the only women in my age catagory....laugh hard  o.k. moving on....

Now that my daughters are married and I've been blessed with three grandsons, I know I have to do something.  I'm taking high blood pressure pills, and I'm on insilin for diabetes....outta control diabetes!  I can feel the tingling in my legs, and the weight is just not bearable anymore.

I've been thinking about WLS for many years.  And I've finally made up mind....
