11 months update!
Dec 22, 2009
Okay, I am loving the attention I am getting everyday, everywhere I go. I 'm down 80+ lbs, and it feels wonderful. I was trying for 100 lbs but I am happy with what I have lost. I have lost lots of inches. My size 18 jeans are getting baggy now. I have got to buy some more clothes. I only have three pair of pants that I can wear, and they are too big. My thighs were 32 inches and now 22 inches.
Some days I have trouble eating enough food, and I dont worry about it because days later I can eat more. I just make sure that I take my vitamins daily and drink lost of water.

Well its has been 6 months since my surgery and I am doing great. I am down almost 55 lbs. I have lost over 40 inches, and I feel wonderful. I have been so excited about the whole process and I am finally calming down. I exercise 4-5 times a week and have added Zumba to my workouts. I do the Treadclimber 3 X wk. Weights 3X wk and zumba 3-4 times. Sometimes I thinks I am overdoing it, But its like I am addicted. I try not to miss more than 1 or 2 days so I don't get out of the habit. All of my clothes are too big. So I am taking up some pants, checking out consignment stores and looking for sale items. I want to wear a size 14 by this fall. I can wear 18's now, down from 24/26's.I've only had three fills and the last one was perfect. I dont know when I will need another one. So glad I did the Lap Band surgery!!!

New Bra size
Mar 11, 2009
Last night I found a sale on bras at Pennys. I have been currently wearing a 46 C that never fit right. I started in a size 48 D. Now I can comfortably wear a 42D. It feels good not to tug and pull bra straps all day. Also I got a look at my body in a full lenght mirror and I was amazed. I tried on some jeans that I was able to wear. My thighs looked a little flabby and of course the abdomen was gross. I have been working out 5-6 days a week. I need to start really working out with heavier weights. I'm starting pilates for my core area and I take belly dancing weekly. I hope it will help tone up the abdominal area.
It is wonderful to actually see how much I have lost.

Well, after my third fill I finally have very good restriction. I am more aware of chewing and eating small amounts. Two days after my third fill I dropped 4 lbs. Amazing. I felt like I was stuck for awhile. I am only able to eat about 1000 cal a day. I am exercising about 5 times a week. I know it is helping because when the doctor did my fill the needle felt like it was going through rubber. It hurt like hell. Before the needle felt like it was going thru jello.

My third fill
Mar 01, 2009
Today is 02 Mar 09 and I am on my way to my doctors appt for my third fill (i hope). My second fill didn't give me much restriction. I was able to eat just about everything. So I am hoping the third fill will be better. I have only lost about 5 pounds this month. I was hoping to lose about 10-15. I have been exercising very hard, but I admit I have eated some things like ice cream and sweets a few times. I have lost a lot of inches because all my clothes are too big now. Well, I had the fill today and I am tighter than I have ever been. I have been on liquids two days now. When the doctor inserted the needle, it hurt like hell. Maybe I have more muscle in my abdomen than before.

I just had my second fill today. Everyone went fast and easy, unlike the first time. I think I was scared the first tme. My doctor was pleased. He said if I keep going like this, I will probably loose 100 lbs in a year or less. I had my measurements taken, and also pictures. I have lost a total of 19 inches overall. I lost 5 inches off my hips and 5 off my bust.

The day of my surgery, 19 Nov 2008
Jan 04, 2009
I checked into the hospital about 0600 am. I must admit I was a little nervous. I had blood drawn again. My weight was 286, down from 301 at the beginning of my weight loss journey. I had my surgery at 0900 am, I was the second case. There were about 5 people that day having lap bands. Everything went well. I had a little nausea for about an hour. I had an xray to make sure everything was okay. I left the hospital about 200 pm. I felt great and had no pain. I went home and slept for awhile. I remember being so excited about having the surgery and also greatful for being alive.
