Just back to report that I've been feeling good.  I still don't have all of the energy that I used to have, but I am ready to get back into exercising and hopefully that will boost me up.  To date, I have lost 21.5 pounds.  I'm so excited to report that!!!  I have been struggling a little bit with the new separation from food.  I have spent a few days wondering what to do because most of my activities were centered around food.  I'm not saying that I feel like I need to pig out, but I just want to eat a salad or something.  I'm sure it'll get easier as I try new foods.

Since the old profiles somehow disappeared, I am here to update this thing and keep some sort of record of how i'm doing.  Let's see... my surgery was on monday, october 16th 2006.  I lost 39 pounds pre-op, and here I am ten days later and 13lbs less @ 281.  I think i gained some weight after surgery from being full of fluids and really swollen, so it took awhile to get under my pre-op weight after surgery.  The weight already seems to be coming off quickly.  I am anxious every morning to jump on the scale and see what it sals.  I feel good after these ten days.  I've returned to work part time, and I am back at school.  I am able to do just about everything, with only a small amount of soreness occasionally.  Los of people have been commenting on how good I look, but I think it's just because they know I had surgery.  It just makes me feel like all of the credit is going to go to this surgery and not me...cuz hey, i lost 39 lbs on my own and nobody said a word!!
