Hi, I read that that you are scared. So am I. I mean really scared. I have never had any surgery before and the idea of somebody cutting me open is absolutely terrifying. I'm not ready to die either. Now here is some positive info. Last night my husband was surfing on the net and found this bit of trivia. In Wyoming 537 people died in 2003 due to obesity related disease. Nobody died from a by-pass. Now that made me feel good. I hope it makes you feel better too. God Bless you and remember you have a friend out here feeling the same way you are. Tere

Hi Jenn R! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- Congratulations on your surgery date and may God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures.
