Hey Catherine, I too am on medicare for a disability though I am 64. I am scheduled for surgery on 3 /10 and I am scared silly also. I don't think you should worry about why you have made this life saving decision, just be thankful you have the courage to make it. I wish you the best and may God Bless you through out this time and always.
