RNY or VGS?? not so sure anymore

Hi everyone, I'm new to OH, and I joined because I will be going thru wls soon. I'm a KP member and I already completed my option classes in December 2010, I just recently had my 3 consultations in SD at Pacific Bariatrics at the end of Jan. 2011 and I got my surgery date for May 2011. My highest weight has been 247 lbs. Since Options I have lost 18 lbs. I'm currently scheduled for the RNY surgery. When I first started my Options classed and learned about the different surgeries that were available, the one I wanted was the VGS, I had my mind set on it, but then when I went to the Pacific Bariatric seminar and heard that the RNY was the most succesful and had the longest history I came out completely chaning my mind and deciding on having the RNY. BUT!!! now, I'm second guessing myself again, this is so hard, I have some people I guess that are trying to convince me to have the VGS and others that are all for the RNY, my surgeon didn't really make any recomendations on what surgery to have, and he basically just asked which surgery I was considering, I know that if he would of thought that the RNY was not the right one for me, he would have suggested another surgery instead. I know that at the end is my and my surgeon's decision on which surgery I will be having. Now I'm so anxiously waiting, wish me luck.
