Wooo hooo!!! 30 pounds down!!
Oh boy watching the starts and stops is really quite amazing. One week I lose nothing, the next week I lose 5 pounds, the next week I lose 1 pound and all in all it averages out to 2 pounds a week so I am happy! It's frustrating to watch on those slow weeks though but ooooh so exciting on the fast weeks.
In my previous life (pre band), I could never get far enough along to see that the weight does keep coming off. I would see the scale stop and I would get frustrated and think to myself, "why bother?" and bam I was back to eating masses of fast food. Sticking with it, I see that even though it stops, it's still coming off in a timely manner.
Looking around at the numbers of others who were banded around the same time as me, it seems like I'm pretty much right on track. Sometimes it's hard to tell because people lump in their numbers from their preop diets and I only lost 4 pounds the week before my surgery on my preop. All in all, I think I'm very average...like usual. I'm used to being average all my life. Now if only I could get my weight to an "average". I will get there!!
I bought a bodybugg this week and I love it. I think I'll write an entry about for those who may be wondering what it does and how it works.
As far as what I'm eating, breakfast usually consists of Kashi oatmeal and 2 light sausage links, lunch is usually cottage cheese along with tune or some lunchmeat with some light miracle whip on melba toast, and dinner is where I get my variation, but it's always some kind of lean meat with vegetables. Sometimes I will have a kashi granola bar snack and usually at night I will have a 100 calorie Jell-o snack. I always keep it under 1000 calories.
Also, I met my goal of at least 1000 minutes of exercise for this month. I have never EVER exercised as much in my life as I did this month.

Yesterday I was down to 223.5 and at one point in the day it was 222! Yes, I am a compulsive scale addict. hehe! I only use the weight right after I wake up as my official daily weight though.
I ate a few more calories than usual yesterday (1200 compared to my usual 1000), but I doubt that's why I gained a pound. I'm sure it's some sort of water gain so I'm not going to worry about it.
I've been doing well with exercising. I'm looking for a good strength training mode to get into but I haven't found the right one yet. Podfitness isn't working that well for me for several reasons. Also, I wonder if I should wait a bit on the crunches. My port was hurting a little bit yesterday.

weeee....another pound gone. Losing this much in 24 hours, I will probably have another plateau soon. That's ok though, I have lost 7.5 pounds in two weeks. Not too bad! I love it when all the hard work is paying off.

I'm down another half pound. We went to Sizzler last night with my mil and I had the grilled salmon. it was delicious.
I did 45 minutes on the elliptical yesterday and 50 today.
I have a new heart rate monitor and I love it. It helps me to be sure I'm working out to the level that I should be and that is safe. It really seems to be making a difference in my effort level.

Well, down another half a pound. That's good news. I was starting to feel discouraged and a few times I almost said, what the heck, and thought about going on a mini binge. It's the self hate that's so hard to get past. But going 6 days and not losing anything whatsoever just going up and back down a pound a half the whole time when you're eating everything you're supposed to and exercising can be discouraging. It probably had more to do with the fact that I have my period than anything. Well actually it was PMS. As soon as my actual period started (yesterday) I dropped half a pound and then today another half.
I didn't exercise yesterday and I felt bad about it. I know that I don't need to every single day, but I am going to today.
We're going to Sizzler tonight with my Mother in Law and thanks to calorieking.com I have my dinner already planned. I'll have the chicken or the salmon. Either would be a great choice thankfully. I just have to be sure not to eat it all since the salmon is 5oz and I only want to eat 3 ounces.
I hope I can do it!
